OK just a quick comment on the food thing... I don't feel like writing much. (For some reason I would much rather write on my own blog. I don't know why....)

Anyways, I was reading Romans 14 yesterday in the Message, and this jumped out at me, and then I came across what Jeff said, so here's what Paul said to what Jeff said, relayed by Jon. :)

"If you eat meat, eat it to the glory of God and thank God for prime rib; If you're a vegetarian, eat vegetables to the glory of God and thank God for broccoli."

"now that Ive wrote a book what do the rest of you think? "

i think i have the attention span of 20 seconds. i had to read that post 3 times to get it all. reading is easier when it's in color for some reason, if u look at my quiz book u can see.....

but ne ways ummmm can we worship God in all we do? yeah. Do we?.....not always, though i think sometimes we do and we don't even realize it. Like if you just thinking to urself about how greatful u r to have a good meal while others starve, or thinking about how much u enjoy ur job, or family, or whatever.....in one way or another God gave u that stuff. He gave u ur job, ur family, ur food, so by being grateful to have those things ur being greateful to God, which is worship although it doesn't really seem it. Make sense?

worship is an expression of Love to God... its us telling him, or showing - in some way - that we love him.

personally, its hard for me to worship while I eat. although im sure it could be done... depending where your heart was - maybe your heart was saying "Wow God - you were amazing when you invented double dutch rockyroad peanut butter ice cream - Wow God, and I love you for it!"

I must admit though, that mostly I just go "wow Jeff this tastes pretty good"

I think that serving someone in need can be a true expression of Love for God - he says that if youve done it to the least of these, that youve done it to him - so if you are outwardly blessing someone - you are expressing your love to God, and therefore.... worshipping him.

My favorite way of worshipping - i must admit, is just flat out telling God - in lots of different ways - that I love Him.

I also realized recently that one of my love languages is serving - if you know what a love language is... So for example, I would much rather serve someone - in order to worship God - than to sit and have study devotions or something like that. know what I mean? I think generally, that is prolly why guys have harder times having regular devotions, and spending that time with God in that way... we like to be doing, and we can Love God, and spend time with him while helping a stranded person change a flat or something. I'm not saying we don't need that quiet time, WE DO... but it helps me to understand myself, and how God made me. We are all different, and our expressions of Love to God are all different....

so to follow up your question, Can we worship God through such activities, or do we worship him while doing these activities?

Yes to both - you can worship God both ways, but often times we don't

The changing a widows flat tire - could be an example of worshipping God through an activity (or expressing our Love to God through art, or music or whatever)
The eating example would be "worshipping while doing the activities... "

now that Ive wrote a book what do the rest of you think?
